The region

Vitsa is 37 km from Ioannina and it is built at an altitude of 960m. It is one of the largest villages of Zagori with beautifully built houses and carble stone streets. Until 1753 it was a simple entity with the village Monodentri.

The benefactors built many mansion houses, schools and churches there.
